Yay For Monday!!

I know what you are all thinking. "YAY for MONDAY?" No seriously though today has been the best day i have had in a LONG LONG time!

*I woke up realizing i took a shower last night so i could sleep in another 30 min.

*Had enough time to get ready and make it to class.

*The greatest music ever was playing on the radio

*I had a good piano class.

* One whole hour to just relax and talk to new friends i have made in my classes before class started...

*Then the greatest of all news:

So before the break we had a test in my Aural Perception class. It really isn't an easy test, and it can get really confusing especially if you know nothing about music so you can tune me out while you read this little bit, or try to understand, your decision.... anyway, I will try to explain Aural Perception to you. It is a required class for music students. The class teaches you to define different intervals, Rythm, Rythmic Dictation..Intervals such as: m2 (minor second), M2 (major second), m3 (minor third), M3 (Major third), P4 (Perfect Forth), P5 (Perfect fifth), TT (Tri Tone ((aka the Simpson's theme song starts in a tri tone)), and P8 or perfect octave. I have funny little tricks and songs to help me remember them for example:

M2 ascending (going up) sounds like a regular scale, Descending (going down) it sounds like three blind mice... so to remember it i put it together and say Three Blind Scales. That way i remember both and i have a better chance of getting it right.

m2- fury jaws aka- ascending= jaws theme song, Descending= Fur Elis

P4- here comes the bride

P5- ... well you get the idea

So i have these tricks and things to help me remember that portion of the test.

Next is rhythm. The teacher plays a rhythm on the piano and we have to write it out on our paper.

Then is Rhythmic Dictation, Meaning we have 4 measures of a melody that he plays and we have to write out the rhythm and the notes on staff lines.

I know it doesn't sound like it makes sense at all... But it actually DOES!

*I got 100% on my Test!!!!! I was one of Two People that got that score and I am so happy!

*Then i got into my theory class which is not my favorite, it just is really complicated, and a completely different language. And again before the break we took another test... except this one was a mid term, harder things i wouldn't even dare try to explain them and confuse all my readers... ANYWAY. I got a 99% on my test. Not quite a 100 but DANG close!!

*I understood the lesson being taught in class

*Had lunch with my friend Alli mack

*Then i went to a job interview at "Southwest Spine and Sports" as a front desk receptionist. It was great! The lady was really pleased, and told me she would get back to me. She was hoping to find someone full time, but if she found someone reliable to work the morning shift than she would be more than glad to high me! It was so great to hear that! A great confidence booster.

*I went back to school, and worked out for and hour and a half. Which i felt great after ward!

*picked up dad from Kia

*He filled up my cute red car up with gas, because he's the greatest.

*Went over the Jacobs House and played volleyball with him and his sister in their front yard (and now my arms hurt and there are broken blood vessels now...)

*Went to dinner with dad at Texas Roadhouse very scrumpdidilyupsious!!

*and now I'm going to go to bed early because i don't have any homework due tomorrow. Just Dance!!!

Today was a great day! I hope this week will be a good one! i can just feel that it will.

PS. Last week was spring break for me... i only did one thing that was fun worth writing about and that was going to the ZOO so pictures will be coming shortly! and fun stories! Peace out Yo

Dishwasher Mishap

I came home from picking up jonathan from school, and I was picking up around the house and cleaning, because i wanted to surprise my mom she has been really stressed lately with everything. My grandma and melanie were coming to town (and my sister ally, but that was a surprise for Jonathan, he didn't know she was coming) ANYWAY! I was cleaning and washing the dishes and was getting ready to take jonathan to the school for practice and i wasn't completely thinking right and i grabbed this.....

Oh Happy Dayz

Yes hello to everyone who has been looking at my blog just dying to know how my room has turned out... I'm not going to lie i have been really busy and well... just plain lazy. My room (as in painted) has been finished for a couple of weeks now, but the room itself (aka the floor and empty picture frames) has been a mess and i just haven't gotten the courage to go through everything and clean it up. BUT... I did yesterday! I deep cleaned my closet and went through everything. I threw away a lot, i was harsh. If i hadn't used it or i didn't think i was going to use it anytime soon then... it was out of there. I even went through and sorted through my pictures and put them all nice and neat in a cute little box, then i thumbed through them and found some to put in all my cute picture frames. I even printed some off of the computer. It's WAY cute! I'm at the library right now so i don't have any pictures to post quite yet.. but when i do finally get home i will touch it up and take pictures like a mad woman, and you will all be so pleased with the wonderful work i have done! Is the suspense killing you yet?! hehehe

Let's see where can I start? Let's just say today has to be one of the NOT most fun days i have EVER had. Lets start off with waking up this morning. Ok that sucks in and of itself because you have to stop sleeping, anyway, jonathan wakes me up at 7:00 and says "oh, i forgot to tell you late start is tomorrow so class starts at 7:30 today so we have to leave in 15 min..." so i jumped out of bed and started getting ready but was still running late so dad had to take jonathan to school. I left for school around 7:45 to make it to class....
Clarification: I don't have an actual class that early but i signed up for the fitness center as a class so i have to get a certain amount of hours (40) if i want an A in the class. hhmm, lets look back at why i had to take the class in the first place..... Well, i wouldn't have had to take the dumb class if i didn't get juggled around through 4 different english teachers ending up with none of them. So that right there just messed me up... ok so, Im required to have 12 credit hours to recieve my honors scholarship i thought i had figured it out where i would have the right amount but guess how many credits i had before the fitness class?? yes you guessed correctly.... 11.5?!!?? don't ask me how i did that. I was all registured and the lady looks at me and says "You need to find another class that will put you over the 12 credit hours so you can recieve your scholarship"... so ... smart me, decided "hey i will just sign up for the gym and go every once in a while. Not really registering that it was already the 4th week into school, and i would have to catch up to everyone. 40 hours doesn't seem like that much till you have lost 5 weeks to do it... Why 5 weeks you ask? Well i will tell you. I can't get an I-D card without a recipt from the school saying i owe nothing... and thats how you sign in and out of the gym. With your card. Or you can use your SSN which i really didn't want to use, so i was waiting for this recipt... which never came... and still hasn't come. So i went in to the gym this morning and signed in using my SSN... The guy looks up at me and says "This is really your first time coming to this gym?!" to which i responed "Yes?".. (him) "You have to be one of the luckiest kids, they just swept through the system and dropped anyone that had under 5 hours or work out..." I was REALLY happy i was still registered! He walked me through all the different equipment and told me i had to come in for two hours 4 times a week for the next couple weeks so that i would be up to speed with everyone else... I left feeling kind of scared... Thats A LOT of working out.
Anyway, then i get to dance... which is always great! But today was an odd day and i was all out of wack and couldn't dance my best and i twisted my ankle and kind of messed up my back... so it wasn't the best day for dancing... and i have been sick so i was just feeling down.
After dance i have voice lessons with Sue Anne Lucus from 12-1 but there was something going on today so she moved it to friday from 9-10. Which was good becasue then i could go have lunch with Jacob, Lauren, Allison, and Mitch. We went to taco bell.
I got there a little later then them because i had to run through my voice lesson songs with my piano player so i wouldn't forget them...
Then i met them there. Well, i found a parking spot and was pulling into it and was making sure i was clear in front and to the sides when the car next to me doors opened... so i waited for the girl to get out of the car, rather than realizing i was still inching forward toward this ladys car... They made contact and my eyes just widened. I backed up and she got out of her car. I pulled in next to her and got out of my car... i almost started crying, she rubbed off the dirt and it was just scratched, she told me it was ok and i didn't need to worry about it. She had had that happen before and it wasn't that big of a deal. I still felt horrible! i just kept appologizing! She was so nice about it, and i was so glad too! i don't know what i would have done if some crochady old lady started yelling at me! I would have lost it! I went inside and said hi to everyone and just went to the line. I was pulling out my credit card and jacob came over to say hi. i told him what happend and everything and he pulled out a 5 from his wallet and said "Hey i got this one today" he is the greatest. Really though i have the best boyfriend ever!
I got my lunch and ate it quietly. Went back to school for the rest of the classes or i should say class. and then drove to work...
I walk inside and there were magazines every where so i start picking them up and putting them away, when a guy with red hair looks up and says "are you Michelle?" (me) "Sure am"
(him) " hi im (enter name here) can i talk to you for a little?" "sure"... little did i know what sceaming plan he had. I went into the other room and he says "take a seat" all sweet and innocent, and then he says "you know how Merrill is combining his practice with Ansazi right?" and i said "yes i know about it..." then he sticks the knife in "well, with the merging there are some people from here that have to be let go... and you are one of them." (me) "Oh ok, ya i understand." (me on the inside) "You suck, you don't even know how much i love this job! Why would you just come in here and fire people like that, are you serious?!?!" But... Dont worry i kept my cool and smiled and nodded. I didn't even cry. I walked into the office were Gaylene was and she looked like she was going to cry she kept telling me how her and Kimberly were trying SO hard to get them to keep me, trying to find other things for me to do... but it was no use... I gathered my things got my last check and i went into say goodbye to the providers. Dr. Prince was so mad. He kept saying how he didn't want to stay if i was leaving. and how he wished he would have known a week earlier bc he was hiring over at another office he was working at and he would have much rather me come over there. Which didn't help me one bit. Actually no one knew that me and Joanne were being let off so they were all kind of mad and confused. I cried a little bit and gave everyone hugs, and was on my way. I know it sounds kind of stupid that i cried, but i really did love that job. We had all become like a family, with all our stories that we had shared and everything! and it kind of sucks knowing that i don't get to be apart of that anymore! So that was my NOT so fun day... i would have rather it been different.. but thats all i got. Today was just not my day.
