School, Work, Teaching, CDC, Life

It's only 9:30 on a wednesday and I'm not planning on going out on the town tonight so I have decided to update my neglected blog..... because I'm cool like that!

School
I am currently taking 12 credit hours of school right now, which means I am a full time student, however it's not just at one school... I am taking and anatomy class on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and also a Hip Hop class friday nights at Mesa Community College. And then on tuesday and thursdays I am taking 3 dance classes and anatomy for the dance at Scottsdale Community College.

I love it!

I seriously am all over the place ALL the time! But I never get bored I am constantly occupying my time with something exciting to do. I think my favorite days are my dance days. Which means I am dancing not teaching... so tuesdays and thursdays! I am at SCC from 8:20-2 and only the first hour of it am i just sitting and learning. The other 5 hours I am dancing Ballet, then Modern, then Jazz!!! Seriously I couldn't ask for anything better. I am learning so much and growing so much as a dancer! It was the best decision to switch over and go to SCC for dance. And I think most people would be scared off by my next remark but "I'm one of the worst in the classes" call me weird but I absolutely LOVE IT! I have the opportunity to watch and learn from some pretty amazing dancers who have been dancing for a long time! It's amazing!

Work/ Teaching
I'm still working at Pure Fitness Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings, and Tuesday nights. It has been such a blessing being able to have this job! It has worked right into my school and teaching schedules and I am able to make enough to pay bills and still have a little fun.

I am very blessed to have connections to help me further my career choice and to gain experience. My bestest friend Tori was asked to teach some dance classes for someone in her ward and wasn't able to do it so she asked me and... what do ya know... I CAN!! So I have been teaching at a little garage studio. One 3 year old Jazz class (with about 5-6 girls) and a 4 year old Jazz class (with about 5-6 girls) on Wednesdays :) and I am LOVING it. They are so adorable and they say the darndest things! I look forward to wednesdays because I get to teach these super cute girls, it just lifts my week!

I am also teaching at High Ground Dance Studio as their Ballet 1 teacher! Again I didn't get this one on my own. While I was at work one day I got a call and decided to answer (normally i don't obviously because I'm at work) but it was Brianna Barba and she was calling to see if I would be available to teach this class because she was no longer able to. So amazingly enough it did fit, and I had just enough time to fit it in! Seriously amazing things happen when you read your scriptures, say your prayers, and keep the commandments! I know that I would not be this lucky and grateful if I hadn't been.... This one is a little more difficult than the jazz classes one because Ballet is a challenge for me so I have to really learn to master it so I can really teach these girls the right way, and because I have 15 girls in the class and they are all around the age of 6. SO they like to spin, jump, talk, climb, and make friends while not paying attention to me... their ballet teacher... AND to add on to that they have already been dancing for an hour doing technique... personally an hour and forty-five minutes of technique and ballet for 6 year olds is FAR too long! I'm lucky if I keep the attention of half of them and to them ballet is boring so i'm trying to change that! :) SO this class is teaching me patience and being prepared to teach fast, keep it fun, while still learning.... ya I'm still working on it... I'll get it! :)

CDC
CDC stands for Christian Dance Company. It's an amazing Christmas Company that Tricia "Hale" Campbell and a couple other girls started X amount of years ago (sorry i'm not exactly sure of the details) anyway it's a club at mesa high and dancers come and audition to be in this dance company that is only at christmas time, and we perform once at Mesa High and Once at The Mesa Temple. And we tell the story of the Birth, Life, and Death of Jesus Christ. It has seriously been my favorite thing to do since I found out about it! It's another amazing way I am able to show my testimony of Christ! And even though my life has been crazier than ever, I decided that I needed to do it again this year so i fit it into my schedule and am so glad I did. I will post the performance dates when I know so everyone can come. It really is amazing and I am so grateful for the girls who came together and got the courage to start it. So more dancers are able to do it as well! LOVE IT!

Life
If you can't already tell I am more than excited about life! It seriously could not get any better! As much as the whole dating aspect of this age in life is a little weird and sometimes frustrating and retarded I'm learning to deal with it and make the best of it. Thanks to everyone that gave advice it actually REALLY helped! because I have had to let some guys know that we are just friends.. nicely... trying not to hurt their feelings. I don't think I would have been as nice if I didn't have help... because I just get frustrated with guys... haha... that's another story in and of itself. anyhoo... Like I said I love life and can't wait to see what other things are in store for me... more teaching, maybe some performing, maybe a BOYFRIEND! haha. I'm just excited for life! I hope everyone else who is out there or reads my blog remembers to thank Heavenly Father for the little things! Remember to smile and say thank you and you're welcome, I promise life will look so much better and seem so much simpler if you can do those little things!

Whoever finished reading this... haha sorry for the rambling, I just love it, and decided that my family and friends that are far away need to know what's going on in my life too! (ally, deanna)

don't forget...
