Spring what? Break! hhmm I wish!

For most sane people in the college and high school life people are doing this....

Lots of this:
And taking some more of these:
I myself was partying it up last year doing this!

Oh Hawaii how I miss thee!

-Your beautiful breezes
-calm atmosphere
-warm welcoming beaches
-yummy food
-amazing scenery
-green mountains
-winding roads
-magnificent hikes
-cool snorkeling
-awesome waterfalls
-and great company!

Well, as much fun as that was, and I will remember it for the rest of my life
(And i'm planning on going again!)
This spring break is not going to be as relaxing!
I am going to spend my time painting flats and scenery at mesa high................
as much as I love that school I have a feeling I am going to want to throw something at someone by the end. haha I will also be doing homework and sleeping.
(that part I'm really excited about! sleeping mmmmm)
But this will be a VERY busy week.

If anyone gets bored and wants to come help we will be down there on the stage everyday this week from:

9-2 and then 4-9

so PLEASE come and help us out if you can! We would L.O.V.E you for it!

Thanks!

Venting...

Ok so I try to be really uplifting and try to see the good in everything when I am writing on this blog but sometimes I just need to get a good vent out!

Today it is about my English 102 class.
I. hate. it.
I have learned nothing this whole semester.
Let's just start out by telling you what he told us the first day of class... "So I'm pretty sure I didn't like taking this course in college, and I definitely don't like teaching it.... Oh and I grade on a curve so I can grade with some standard, and how I'd like." .. umm (looking around the class), say what?! (startled stare and squint) are you allowed to tell your students that? (completely confused look on my face)
Welp I guess so (red flag). and he did (super RED flag). and he has stuck to his word ever since.
Ok..... so we have 4 argument papers that we have to write this semester. This last paper was a definitional argument paper... didn't even know they existed.
(not even going to explain what it is because I can't)
All I know is that when I started writing the paper I had no clue what I was doing and when I finished the paper.. yup you guessed it, I still had no clue what I was supposed to be doing.
Oh wait, that's right
that's because he didn't teach us anything!
We look in our book and fill out these stupid worksheets that have nothing to do with
-learning how to research a topic,
-or how to write a works cited page,
-or how to even write the stupid paper.
While he sits on his bum the whole class and waits for us to finish our portion so we can share our answers with the rest of the class. Which we rarely ever actually do.
Ok so we asked him how this paper is supposed to be written and he gives us an outline. No teaching involved just a piece of paper with words on it that meant nothing to me. So... I tried my best to figure it out and follow the outline as best I could.
Welp... I got my paper back today and guess what I got.
Yup a whopping 69%.
That's...... a D.
I have NEVER gotten a D on a paper before.
My heart kinda dropped out my butt until he said.
"The highest grade in the class is a 72%"
Really buddy. . .
a 72?
Obviously somethin' isn't right here if out of 23 people the highest was a C-.
Oh oh oh and get this,
this was my favorite thing he said as he handed out a paper for us to read today.

"Please look at how this person sited their sources in their paper and on their works cited page, which I know we haven't really talked about. But look at hers and see how to do it because no one did it right." uhhh... say what again ..."which I know we haven't really talked about? ..."
How on earth are we supposed to actually 'do it' right if we didn't know how to 'do it' in the first place?!
uuuhhhgggggg
Well as my frustration grew we had to turn in another outline for another paper that I HOPE I can do right. It's a cause and effect argument paper which I think I am capable of writing.
But who knows with this guy.
It seriously freaks me out.
He sits down in front of the classroom and says, "I will read your outlines and if they don't work I will call you to the front of the classroom (and publicly humiliate you) and we can figure out how to fix it. Because your other papers needed. lots. of fixing."
So I sat patiently trying to "learn" how to write my works cited page and to cite things "correctly" in my actual essay.
Class ended and my name was never called.
he says, "If i didn't call your name then your topic must have been... fine."
fine?
Really? fine, with a pause?
This is why I can't write good papers, well one because I have no idea what I'm doing and because my topics are quote unquote "fine"
Yup that was my exciting class today.
I wanted to throw something at my balding, mono-toned, skinny little teacher.
But voted against it since then he reminded us of the
curve.
Which means that I actually got a
95% baby!

Thank you
to all the other students in the class who had absolutely NO idea what they were doin either!

Happy Monday!

Life. You've been very kind to me lately. and I thank you!

So I'm pretty sure that I have been beyond busy and really have no idea why i still have this thing because I don't ever blog. My poor blog has been neglected and abused. I only log on to see what other people are up to and if they have updated. Then I find myself getting annoyed when I see that they haven't. When I myself haven't updated in... who knows how long. Well I have A LOT to update on.
School:
I am going to Mcc for english 102 MWF. And SCC mondays mornings for dance in films. and then T and TH for Dance Seminar 2, Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Dance Productions. (I am generally at school on T and Th from 8 in the morning till about 6:30. They are my death days)
Teaching:
--I still teach the Ballet 1 class at Higher Ground and I'm loving it! I also am their new Musical Theater Teacher as well which has to be my favorite class! The girls range from about 5-11 and they are HILARIOUS! I am always laughing in that class!
--Then I'm teaching over at Heather Hinze's Garage studio "Studio 8" teaching their 3 and 4 year old jazz class! which is a blast also! I love teaching OH SO much :)
--And I've started up the musical at Mesa High again! They are putting on the show "Guys and Dolls" which is a favorite and I am having the time of my life! The kids are great and they are all amazing!
Work:
I am working at Pure fitness just a couple hours a week, which i am so thankful for! They have been so flexible with my schedule and still letting me work there even if I can only work a couple hours! I seriously couldn't be any more blessed in my life right now!

Oh wait I lied! hehe Then there is this kid. Greg Malone He seriously keeps me sane and on track with all of my crazy things that I am doing! And to top it off When I have a stressful day I can call him up, go see him (if we are both available) get a hug, and my worries all melt away! It's fabulous!

We laugh all the time. Mostly because he is just plane CRAZY! haha but I need someone to keep me from being so serious. ha and he needs someone to keep him out of trouble. :)
He is the only guy in a very large family of girls haha so it is really fun to see him around them and see what he puts up with from them. His family is seriously amazing! I had dinner with them last night and it is just so natural and fun to sit and talk with the adults while Greg is off being the human jungle gym with all the little kids. :)
This is currently the only picture that we have together which I'm ok with. As quoted by my sister Deanna "I like him, he makes ugly faces like you." :)

Thanks for makin life that much easier Greg :)

ladi freakin dah

Howdy yall~ I'm pretty sure I am not very good at this whole catching you up blogger thing! probably one of the worst. I always have time to look at other peoples blogs and when they don't update I always think to myself "holy crap what is going on in there lives? I can't handle not knowing!" and then i look at the last time I updated and... crap. So I have a little while so I decided to catch you up ;)
Safford
One of my best friends Darlene had not seen snow in 8 years. So our good friend Sirel decided he was going to change that. So we took a road trip to Safford to go and see the snow! It was so much fun! We went Sledding and cooked hot dogs and smores on a camp
fire and had dance parties! Oh it was so much fun!

Farewell Frankfert!
On of my best guys friends got accepted into a college internship program with disney!! and said farewell early in January! He hasn't been gone for very long but I still miss his face quite a bit! We basically did everything together! we even finished each others sentences! ... well ok. maybe not literally, but I really do miss:
-laughing really hard
-yelling at the tv because something stupid happened on the show
-going to see some amazing performances
-swimming in his pool
-making fun of silly people and their silly lives
-randomly seeing him at super random places, like in the middle of the street on a bike ride :)
-partying, eating food, jamming to music
-helping with the musical!
-oh and his face! :)
But I bet he is having the time of his life with Disney and I'm secretly jealous that he gets to do this! He is amazing and I can't wait for summer to come and go so he can come home and we can party again. ... or I'll just become rich and go to Disneyland and party :) I'm crossing my fingers for that one!
hmmm.... what else has happened?
School has completely started now! I am psycho busy with that! Because I'm going to MCC and SCC. The musical has started up and I have been devoting the time I have left over to that :) It is Guys and Dolls at Mesa High and I am having a blast! I love teaching! Along with teaching my Ballet and Jazz classes, choreographing for the musical is fantabulous! So the next time I have a couple minutes I will tell you all about my stupid crazy schedule I have and how it is going but for now I say...
peace out! <3

ps. I know the title has nothing to do with my post I just decided I didn't want to put "update" on the top of my post AGAIN because I wait so long! haha

Catching up x's 100

Welp I'm pretty sure I have won the " Your super duper DUPER stink at blogging!" award. SO I have decided to give you a run down on my crazy life and the AMAZING events and people that I have been able to spend it with!
STATE FAIR
My best friends Tori, Darlene, and Heather (and myself) all decided that we were going to ditch out on all of our responsibilities and go to the fair for a day! So... we did! I'm pretty sure it was the greatest decision ever! haha. If you went between noon and one you could get into the fair for free and then you just had to spend 25 dollars for unlimited rides. So it was a cheap date... with my girlfriends! :) We spent the day (very hott day i might add) riding every single ride, stuffing out faces, riding kiddy rides, taking pretty.. no beautiful pictures, dancing, screaming, laughing, and so much more!
We even went on a ride that we had no idea what it did... there were no people in line so we decided to get in it and ride it..... again might i add without knowing what it did first. IT WAS THE RIDE FROM HE@#!!! seriously! I thought I was going to DIE! You were held in by 2 bars one that pulled over your shoulders which then connected to the one you pulled from the bottom. AND you didn't sit on a normal seat... this seat you sat on was a little piece of, I don't even know, all I know is it went up your crotch during the ride! This particular ride went up, down, frontward, backward, upside dow, ride side up, and any other way you could think of. I myself was laugh HYSTERICALLY the entire ride because that's what I do when I get nervous, and my eyes were crying! all I could hear was darlene screaming next to me "PUT ME BACK IN MY SEAT, PUT ME BACK IN MY SEAT!!! I DON'T WANNA DIE!!!" (bahahahahahahahahahaha) that may have also been why I was laughing!
All in all it has to be one of my favorite days/memories ever!
LOVE IT!!
Halloween
I loved halloween with all my heart! It was so much fun hanging with my best friends (guys and girls) and being a "gangsta" all night long at the plethora of dance parties we went to! haha We even went to a party and some persons air plane hanger it costed $5 to get in and you had to wear a wrist band the whole time, but it was the best $5 dollars spent! There were SO many people there i was kinda gettin claustrophobic, but after a while I got used to it and just got my dance on. ... I think my favorite part was when we danced up on everyone there (obviously jokingly, no serious nasty dancing from this girl) and meeting so many new people! hahaha yup.. the best!

SYTYCD!
Heather, Tori, Darlene, and myself all got tickets (forever ago) to go see so you think you can dance! and it was best $50 dollars I've ever spent! haha We got to watch the show in not so bad seats, met the dancers after, got their autographs, and took pictures with them! They were all so nice and excited to take pictures with us! My favorite was Evan! But that's just because I secretly love him! Yup yup great night!
Picnic in the Desert!
Marinda, Tori, Darlene, and myself decided we wanted to be cool and have a picnic and photo shoot in the desert by this really pretty stream that we had found at a bon fire we had gone to a couple weeks before. (Wow that was a confusing sentence) so knowing us we got "wendy's", and took "pretty" pictures! haha well as pretty as we are capable of. These were some pretty ones!
and these were some that actually turned out quite cute I think! I like them maybe we'll do again another time when we are actually serious and not laughing goofing off in ever picture! haha we are very good at pretending to be "seductive" haha we sure did try though. all of the pictures were hilarious and we had a blast taking turns being the photographer!

thanks girls it was fun!

Welp, there you go a full mouthful of information on life! Hope you enjoyed the update! :)

PS SCHOOL IS OUT! This also means that studio's are on christmas break and so is work! remember this post?! yup psycho that's what I am! haha just wait for next semester when I tell you my schedule! haha I know what it is now but i'll let you sweat it out before you get to know how much time I will have to meet my beautiful husband... or not... haha
LOVE IT!

The Small Things

I wrote this for one of my dance classes for a paper we had to write and I just decided I wanted to share it :)

When I think of all the things I am grateful for I am almost positive I could go on for hours! Listing people that have influenced my life and personality, places I have been able to visit, events that have changed the course of my life, talents I have been blessed with to bless others, and so much more. However, I want to focus on four specific areas that I am the most thankful for they are my religion and family, the beautiful rain, dancing, and the one object that helps me everyday, my car.

The most personal thing in my life and the one thing that actually makes me “me” is my religion. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints which is so amazing. I am blessed everyday and so grateful for every breath I breath. I have the amazing opportunity to be graced with the presence of so many wonderful people that teach me something new everyday whether they be LDS or not. I look at the world a whole different way than a lot of people. I know where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going. I’m not saying my life has been easy and perfect because it hasn’t; however, because of the gospel in my life I am able to look at the positive side of my hard times and learn to smile and help other people. Service is a big part of what we believe. "When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God" (Mosiah 2:17). Who wouldn’t want to be in the service of our God? I love helping and serving others even small things like smiling at someone, helping them with a small problem, or doing yard work it is a great way to make your own life seem better. I am so thankful for this small thing that makes my life seem so much more significant! It gives me something to live for. There is also an enfaces on families in the church and to me mine is the most special family ever. There are eight of us, my mom and dad, and then the six kids. I land toward the end of the line which makes me smile. I was able to grow up with all of my brothers and sisters and now I am able to see them with their beautiful families and see how wonderful raising a family is. The person I want to focus on most is my older sister Dawn. She is such a sweet person to have in my life. She is my best friend and is always there for me. She is married and has a one year old son, but so far she has been raising him by herself because her husband is bravely fighting for our wonderful country in the army and they will be away from each other for a year. Being so close to her I have been able to see how much love she has for her husband and how excited she is to be married to him. Even though they are so far apart they have grown so much closer together and I just know their reunion will be sweet. She has taught me the importance of love and commitment that I don’t think she will ever realize and for that I am grateful! So when I am married I know exactly how I want my husband to treat me and how I need to treat my husband.

I am also so thankful for the rain. I love it! The way it feels on my face as it falls from the sky, how the earth smells clean and fresh after it’s “bath”. The sent pine trees give off as the wind blows through them when it is just about to rain and how it reminds me of christmas even though it may only be april. The way the drops hit the rays of the lights just right to make lots of beautiful rainbows. Rain gives me hidden energy I didn’t know I had till it comes and a burst of joy and happiness that helps me through the day. I love playing and dancing in it. The memories that flow through my head from my childhood. Playing games like tornado, and line tag, kick the can, and criss-cross-crash seem to make me want to travel back in time and go back to the simple times when everyone was nice to each other. We smiled more and played with other people nicely. Sharing our toys and laughing so hard you can’t breath. Rain makes me remember all of that, and it is amazing.

I run my life in a sort of fashion that I am constantly busy from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed. I cram it packed of work, teaching, school, homework, and occasionally hanging out. I used to just get stressed and not really know what to do to relieve the frustration. That is why I am so beyond thankful for dance. It seems to be a sort of therapy for me. I can dance for hours and not even realize it. My stress seems to melt away when I am being taught a new step to master. When I am not very good at something so I have to work harder than anyone else to get it helps me forget my other troubles. Some people may call me crazy, and maybe I am, but I like being at a bottom of a class and seeing how far I can push myself. I started later than most dancers and have had a lot of bad habits that I have accumulated over the years that I am now trying to fix so I can be the best I can be. Even with all of the odds against me I am still determined to master the art and make this apart of my life because of how happy it makes me. I don’t dance to be the best in class. I dance because I enjoy it and it truly makes me love life. The fact that we defy gravity, we do things scientist say shouldn’t be possible, but we find ways to make it possible. It’s fascinating to me! Dancing also combines my other love. Which is the love of music. I have been singing my whole life and the fact that I can dance and sing together means life couldn’t get better. It’s amazing knowing I’ve found the things that make me the most happy. I’m not searching anymore. It’s a great feeling.
